Non commercial site - please read!!
I have moved quite a few posts recently where people are offering items for sale.

You may notice that this forum is free from all adverts, that means banners, flashing pop-ups etc.

This was a concious decision by Arti and I, even though it means that we pay much more for the hosting and running of the site.

Posting about items for sale is just another form of advertising. All users are referred to the Terms and Conditions of Use when joining the forum. Para 1.9 of our Code of conduct expressly forbids offering items for sale without the consent of the forum team
http://www.madabouthamsters.com/terms/conduct.php

Could I please request that users follow the code of conduct in future.

I come through here http://www.madabouthamsters.com/ and it specifically says that you can buy and sell. I havn't done either, but I expect a lot of other new members have found you the same way and therefore think it is OK.

Excuse me Louise, I will PM you about this, however I can categorically state that nowhere on this site does it give anyone permission to sell items.

What the home page does however state was the intention to create a market place further down the line, however this is not the case at the moment. The market place, if/when it does take place will have a commision charge attached.

Every member gets a mail when joining linking them to the full terms and conditions for using the forum and these are the rules that we expect all to keep.

Hi I'm just wondering if offering items for free is OK? If so, where should we do that? ThanksSmile

I don't have a problem with people offering suitable hamster items free on occasion, and these can be posted in the appropriate section (I would guess it would be environmentals for cage items etc.)
